Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The author(s) guarantee(s) that the manuscript will not be published elsewhere in any language without the consent of the copyright owners, that the rights of third parties will not be violated, and that the publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. Email address and fax number of the corresponding author (http://www.icmje.org/publishing_5correspond.html) have been provided.
  3. The names, email addresses, fax number and affiliations of three possible peer reviewers for your manuscript have been  provided (none of them should be in the same institution as yourself or have been co-authors with any of the authors of your manuscript within the past two years).
  4. When available, the URLs to access references online are provided, including those for open access versions of the reference. The URLs are ready to click (e.g., http://psychopharmacology.ru).
  5. The text is double-spaced; uses a 12/14-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  6. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines (http://psychopharmacology.ru/index.php/PPBN/about/submissions#authorGuidelines).
  7. The instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review (http://psychopharmacology.ru/index.php/PPBN/help/view/editorial/topic/000044) have been followed.

Copyright Notice

Authors submitting a paper to PPBN automatically agree to confer a limited license to PPBN if and when the manuscript is accepted for publication. This license allows PPBN to publish a manuscript in a given issue.

Psychopharmacology and Biological Narcology
(PPBN) applies the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License (cc by) to all works we publish. Under the CCAL, authors retain ownership of the copyright for their article, but authors allow anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy articles in PPBN so long as the original authors and source are cited.

No permission is required from the authors or the publishers.

In most cases, appropriate attribution can be provided by simply citing the original article (e.g., Байрамов, . (2009). The Development of Male Sexual Function after Prenatal Modulation of Cholinergic System. Psychopharmacology and Biological Narcology, 9(1). Retrieved 2009-09-02, from
http://psychopharmacology.ru/index.php/PPBN/article/view/1022). If the item you plan to reuse is not part of a published article (e.g., a featured issue image), then please indicate the originator of the work, and the volume, issue, and date of the journal in which the item appeared. For any reuse or redistribution of a work, you must also make clear the license terms under which the work was published.

This broad license was developed to facilitate open access to, and free use of, original works of all types. Applying this standard license to your own work will ensure your right to make your work freely and openly available. Learn more about
open access.

Authors have a choice of:

1. Dedicating the article to the public domain. This allows anyone to make any use of the article at any time, including commercial use. A good way to do this is to use the Creative Commons Public Domain Dedication Web form; see
http://creativecommons.org/license/publicdomain-2?lang=en.

2. Retaining some rights while allowing some use. For example, authors may decide to disallow commercial use without permission. Authors may also decide whether to allow users to make modifications (e.g. translations, adaptations) without permission. A good way to make these choices is to use a Creative Commons license.

* Go to
http://creativecommons.org/license/.

* Choose and select a license.

* What to do next — you can then email the license html code to yourself. Do this, and then forward that email to PPBN  editors. Put your name in the subject line of the email with your name and article title in the email.

Background information about Creative Commons licenses can be found at
http://creativecommons.org/about/licenses/.

3. Retaining full rights, including translation and reproduction rights. Authors may use the statement:

© Author, 2008 All Rights Reserved.

Authors may choose to use their own wording to reserve copyright. If you choose to retain full copyright, please add your copyright statement to the end of the article.

Authors submitting a paper to PPBN do so in the understanding that Internet publishing is both an opportunity and challenge. In this environment, authors and publishers do not always have the means to protect against unauthorized copying or editing of copyright–protected works.
